Why Soap Selection Is Important to Keeping Good Skin
At every soap aisle of many supermarkets, you'd see so many kinds of soap that sometimes, it's hard to choose which is good for your skin. Often, it's the price that we look at, but cheaper doesn't always mean good. Some soaps seem to have more of the additives than the soap itself. Otherwise, there's just soap but of the kind that's more suitable for washing your clothes. Either way, your skin can can be damaged instead of made to be better using these soaps.
For everyday and general use, a mild cleansing soap is enough. There shouldn't be too much perfume and if there is some used, it should ideally be from the natural ingredients themselves and not synthesized with a mineral petroleum base. Herbs, which are now typically used for specialty "gourmet" soaps are perfect if you know what you need. But then again, some extracts can be too harsh for sensitive skin - otherwise they can be too strong for the nose and the scents may not appeal to you or those around you. If you're not that experimental, stick to common fragrances that anyone can appreciate.
One of the best selling Nu Skin products is the Body Bar. It is such a hit because it isn't exactly soap. In fact it's 100% soapless! It looks like soap but it's not soap. Yet it cleanses like soap but so mildly and gentle that you can use it everyday and each time you do so, you condition your skin at the same time. It doesn't remove nutrients, but nourishes it and also help protect it from drying up. It's uplifting grapefruit scent also makes for a good bath experience.
The most amazing of all is that its natural ingredients - which include jojoba oil, aloe vera, allantoin, and Vitamin E are so safe they can be eaten. To demonstrate its palatability, Korean distributors actually ate the Body Bar with no ill effects! Of course, the Nu Skin body bar is not really meant to be eaten, but it drives the point that it's good for the skin. Click the link that follows if you wish to purchase the Nu Skin Body Bar at wholesale price as a distributor.

Home Remedy For Wrinkles--Is This The Best Answer?
by Emily Rae
Ever tried a home remedy for wrinkles? If you have, you are hardly alone. For centuries people have turned to all sorts of methods to fight the signs of aging. But you might want to think twice before doing it again. As much as some people might swear by their do it yourself methods, the simple fact is that they are not that effective.
While many home remedies contain the same ingredients as packaged organic products, these natural wrinkle fighters aren't nearly as effective when used on their own. It is only in carefully constructed combinations that natural, plant based ingredients do their best work. A homemade wrinkle smoother might have limited positive results, but in the long run it will fall short of providing real help.
In our desperate search for a way to diminish the appearance of wrinkles, many of us have turned to everything from crushed grapes to castor oil for help. A home remedy for wrinkles can be based on just about any individual ingredient or even a combination of ingredients, but without a clear understanding of how each ingredient works and how they work together, it is nearly impossible for us to create effective wrinkle treatments at home.
While some ingredients are said to prevent wrinkles, others are used to address wrinkles which already exist. A homemade wrinkle smoother made from pineapple or apple juice is supposed to lessen the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles and leave the skin softer. But this kind of remedy is sketchy at best. Whatever results are achieved are likely to be only temporary.
Though a home remedy for wrinkles is not considered the most effective approach, many of the ingredients used in those concoctions, from lavender and chamomile, to tea tree and grapeseed oil, to witch hazel and aloe are being tapped by the skin care industry and included in a new range of botanical skin care products.
By combining these and other organic ingredients in carefully balanced amounts, scientists in the skin care industry have developed products which can allow the user to tap into the healing properties of nature in a much more effective manner. Stepping well beyond any homemade wrinkle smoother, these products address skin problems at their core for deep healing never before believed possible.
Since plant based ingredients contain a vast array of healing compounds including antioxidants, vitamins, minerals, oils, tannins and alkaloids, they can provide the most complete healing for skin problems, but only when used properly. Unlike a home remedy for wrinkles, these botanical products can work to restore elasticity, promote collagen growth, remove toxins from the body and improve over all skin tone.
We all want to look and feel younger, but do it yourself is not always the best route to take. You can't be too careful when it comes to your skin, so it is best to rely on natural products created by skin care professionals. Take the cautious approach and use organic skin care products and you'll truly be able to get the best of what nature has to offer.

Skin Brightening Systems
by Kyle Widner
here are a number of different products to choose from when it comes to selecting a skin brightening system. None of these kits which are devoted to making your complexion look fresher, clearer or younger are very cheap. Be prepared to spend at least one hundred dollars on a do it at home type of kit.
Name brands or dermatologist brands can run as high as five hundred dollars for one skin brightening system. How cheap your skin brightening system is might also depend where you are in the world. They are definitely sold for less in countries where plastic surgery is cheaper such as Malaysia and Costa Rica.
The intention of a skin brightening system is to restore your skin's healthy glow while protecting it against future discoloration. You should also check to make sure that the skin brightening product does not contain hydroquinone. This is a chemical that lightens the skin and that has also been known to cause scarring in some individuals.
Generally there are three separate components in any kit like this. Usually there is some kind of Brightening Complex which usually consists of medicinal or botanical brighteners. Most of these kits are fairly organic and include such ingredients as grapefruit, rice bran, mulberry root, yellow dock root and kiwi fruit.
You usually apply this in the morning and wear it under your make up all day. Some companies apply a bit of gold sparkle to this or a green under base to make you appear like you are glowing.
The second product that is usually in this kit is some kind of exfoliate. This is a very effective facial scrub. Some companies call this a microfoliant. It is used to rub off the top layer of your skin. Most of these exfoliants that come with these skin brightening kits are made out of rice bran which helps to smooth the skin gently.
Once your skin is rinsed and patted dry from exfoliation you usually apply the third product that is usually a component in these kits. This is usually some kind of mild skin peeling agent with a bit of natural bleach in it. Common ingredients would be lactic acid and vitamin C. If you are freckled or have hyperpigmentation you can apply this product in the pigmented areas.
However it is very effective applied all over the skin to help balance out your complexion. Once this is absorbed you can put your usual moisturizer over it. It will still be just as effective. The same thing goes for the day cream that you smooth on in the morning.
Most people don't see an immediate change in their skin tone with a skin brightening kit. It sometimes takes a long as six to eight weeks before the skin looks any lighter or any hyper pigmentation is actually bleached out for good. However you may notice that your skin looks more youthful and has a healthier looking glow within days.
Another thing to consider is that a skin brightening kit is less effect on skin damage caused by hormones then it is on damage caused by the sun.

Shea Butter - An Answer To More Than Just Dry Skin
by Terry Christensen
Natural Plant Extract: Beneficial to Skin, Hair, Muscles
Shea butter, sometimes called shea nut butter, is a natural plant extract from the shea tree. Shea butter is used extensively in cosmetics and moisturizers as an emollient to soften and soothe the skin. Shea butter is beneficial to the skin, and is a natural ingredient that is also edible, being used as a cooking oil and also as a cocoa butter substitute in chocolate. The shea tree does not produce its large, plum-like, fruit until it is at least twenty years old.
Another use of shea butter is in hair conditioners, as its moisturizing properties helps to maintain moisture in the hair and keep in healthy and revitalized. It has been shown to be even more effective that cocoa butter or jojoba butter in treating dry, damaged hair.
Also Helpful for Scars and Skin Conditions
Besides being an excellent moisturizer and emollient, shea butter is also naturally anti-inflammatory. Shea butter has been successfully used for many conditions:
-fading scars and stretch marks -treating eczema skin symptoms, burns, rashes, acne, psoriasis -lessening blemishes, wrinkles
It absorbs rapidly into the skin, and has also been known to effectively relieve sinusitis and nasal congestion. The softening properties helps to relax the skin and thereby ease tension and increase respiration. The use of shea butter can also be effective in lessening the pain of sore muscles and arthritis.
How We Get Shea Butter
To obtain shea butter the shea nut is cracked and roasted, and then ground into a paste. Water is added to the cooled paste, and then mixed until the shea oil comes to the top and can be collected. The oil is boiled until the water evaporates. It is them filtered until it becomes a creamy yellow color.
In some places in Africa, where the shea tree grows, newborn babies are massaged daily with the rich, natural shea butter massage oil, which stretches their muscles and softens their skin.

Even If You're a Man, Discover Why Skin Care is Important
by Laurel Levine
Does a healthy diet help to "make a man?" Does a regular workout make a man? Some people think so. Does stylish clothing manage to project the image of a man? Male skin care could not possibly be as important as attire, or at least that is what many guys think.
Among the gangs of Los Angeles, some gang members associate the readiness to make the proper "sign" with the behavior of a "true man." Sometimes the young boys who watch those gang members come to believe that the wearing of a certain color transforms a boy into a man. Skin care holds little interest to those youth, or to the adults that they idolize.
Hair that grows from the skin is desired by more than one male, especially when that hair grows on the scalp. Expensive hair gel has been purchased by customers of both genders-female and male. Man skin care, though, has attracted the interest of far more females than males.
Men who do have hair often like to show-off a well-trimmed head of hair. Does the ability to show-off great hair provide a man with more reason to give his gender as "male?" Skin care could not possibly contribute to a person's "maleness," or could it?
Recently a male soldier in Iraq took the time to submit an online comment about the man skin care products that he had chosen to use. He emphasized the degree to which his chosen moisturizer helped him to deal with the temperature extremes in Iraq. He stressed the degree to which the dust of that region dries the skin.
A real guy, doing the sort of things that have historically been done by a "real man," needs to practice good care. That fact becomes obvious to anyone who happens to read the comments posted by that American soldier. That man did not hesitate to send a word of thanks to those who are making effective male skin care products.
Men, who realize while they are yet young that they need to care for their skin, can identify with at least one military man. This now holds great importance to that one uniformed male. It helps that guy to face the challenges of the climate in which he must do his duty to his country.
That soldier might well be using products that stimulate collagen production. Collagen is a fiber-like protein. When skin produces collagen, then it is firm to the touch. That soldier might also use products that stimulate elastin production. When skin contains elastin, then it can return to its original position, after being pulled or stretched.
No man will stay young forever. Still, by using the right male skin care products he can help his skin to keep making collagen and elastin. In that way, he can hold-off the appearance of wrinkles.
Aging skin usually fails to produce an adequate amount of collagen and elastin. Aging skin tends to wrinkle and sag. Yet those unwanted characteristics do not make an early entrance into the life a man who has practiced good care. Because he has used care, his skin can slow the ticking or the clock, the clock that measures the amount of time until a face shows the signs of aging.

How To Get Healthy Glowing Skin
by Marilynn Syrett
Beauty lays skin deep, and skin care products only enhance it. But for skin care products to be really effective, you need to exercise some healthy habits too. After all there is no point sealing a wall if you plan to strike it off again.
Here are some healthy skin care habits that you can follow at your end to get natural nourishment and make the skin ready so skin care products can be effective.
Characters of a Healthy Skin
Healthy skin is soft and supple. There are no pigments and scars on it. Healthy skin shines in the sun and reflects back. Skin is firm and has no wrinkles or fine lines
Here are some tips that help you get that healthy skin:
Diet: Eat lots and lots of fruits and vegetables, cereals and whole grain breads and dairy products. Avoid eating chocolates, oily food and other sweet foods. Don't eat any food item that you are sensitive to.
Water: Drink at least 8 glasses of water in a day. Maintain the moisture levels of the body by taking plenty of liquid intakes like juices, milk etc.
Sleep: Have to 8-10 hours of sleep every night. A good sleep rejuvenates the skin and relieves it from the day long stress
Fresh air: For good skin, oxygen is a vital element. The blood cells in your body carry oxygen to all the other parts of your body including the skin. Breathing stagnant air won't do you any good. But taking in deep breaths of fresh air fills the lungs with pure air and acts as an effective beauty treatment.
Exercise: Instead of sweating it out at the gym, it's a better deal to go out for a brisk walk every day. Exercising also improves the oxygen circulation in the body.
Emotions: What you feel inside reflects best on your face. Depression or sour moods often give way to acne and blemishes. Therefore, always try to be in a cheerful mood and be good. Don't sweat it! Life is good!

What should a sensitive skin care product be made of?
by Ray A. Rubio
Everyone should be interested in a sensitive skin care product, because, in truth, everyone has sensitive skin. Nerve endings are delicate. Tissue is easily damaged. Cells are sometimes not reproduced efficiently.
The best sensitive skin care product is one that contains no harsh ingredients and no dangerous synthetic chemical compounds. The things that it should contain include vegetable and plant oils that are cold-pressed to preserve them and prevent them from becoming rancid.
There is probably nothing worse for your face than rancid natural emollients. Many manufactures refine oils which strip them of their vital nutrients. Others provide natural oils, but they are not cold pressed, so they become rancid, quickly. A sensitive skin care product that contains natural oils should always have a use-by date.
Only plant based waxes should be included in a sensitive skin care product. Paraffin wax, mineral oils and petrolatum will clog the pores and eventually strip the skin's own oils, leaving it dry and easily damaged.
Vitamins, believe it or not, are good ideas for a sensitive skin care product. You often see vitamin E, but coenzyme Q10, a vitamin like substance, is very beneficial to skin-cells. Vitamin B-5 protects against sunburn, relieves existing sunburn and enhances the natural tanning process.
The idea of including sunscreen in a sensitive skin care product was fairly common for a little while. But, the idea has become controversial. New research indicates that while it decreases the risk of basal cell and squamous cell cancers, it increases the risk of melanoma, which has a higher mortality rate.
If you must be in the sun for more than fifteen minutes, you should protect your nose, forehead and other areas of the face with a zinc oxide or titanium oxide ointment. Neither of these could be classified as a sensitive skin care product, but they do provide safe protection from the sun.
I would like to mention one more thing about the use of sunscreens and their inclusion in a sensitive skin care product, before I move on to something else. A recent study found that 60% of Americans have a vitamin D deficiency, which plays a role in osteoporosis and other chronic conditions. Our bodies cannot produce vitamin D without the sun.
Sunscreens inhibit the production of vitamin D, so it is believed that the rampant deficiency is due, at least in part to the explosive increase in sunscreen use. Vitamin D is important to every cell of the body. It is of no particular importance to a sensitive skin care product, unlike the vitamins mentioned above, but we need it just the same.
Different plant extracts can be effective in a sensitive skin care product. In many cases, they help to rebalance the moisture content, while protecting the outer layers from additional damage.
You should look for ingredients like avocado extract, wakame, capuacu butter and babassu wax. All are naturally protective and provide additional nutritional support needed by the skin's cells. The best sensitive skin care product will contain the natural ingredients mentioned in this article and none of the harsh and dangerous ones. Protect your skin's health, because it protects you.

Remove Plantar Warts Quickly
by Gerald Stidham
Learn how to remove plantar warts, moles and skin tags in as little as 3 days. All natural and effective
www.GESpublishing.com/removingplantarwarts
Plantar warts are very uncomfortable, but you do have options. You may need to see your doctor for a correct diagnosis, but you do have options to remove them on your own, naturally and effectively.
Plantar warts are warts that appear on your foot. They are caused by a virus called human papilloma virus, aka HPV. Plantar warts are usually harmless skin growths, but of course it is always best to seek the advise of your doctor to make sure they are benign. Plantar warts can appear in clusters and are usually extremely uncomfortable, because of the pressure applied to them from walking.
Most peoples main reason for wanting to get rid of them, is they can be very painful and can affect your day to day activities. The warts appear on the sole of your foot and doing something as simple as walking can be a very painful undertaking. This can be especially a problem for you if you work on your feet all day. It is also very important to remove plantar warts because they have the potential to be contagious. The virus can easily transfer between people. You can catch them from direct or indirect contact, it may not always happen this way but it can. Some people are more susceptible to the HPV virus than others, and you may pass the virus to people you don't know or worse yet to people you love and care about without even knowing it. Plantar warts grow inward because of the pressure applied to them while you walk, so you may not even notice that you may already have them and you could be spreading the virus without even knowing it
Another reason you want to get rid of them is that plantar warts are noticeable. I'm not talking about someone else noticing them (you'll have to have your shoes and socks off with your bare feet up on the coffee table for anyone to notice). However, I am implying you will notice them. Plantar warts can grow in size and they also grow in clusters with small warts surrounding a huge wart. Unless you're a foot model you'll most likely you won't notice what they look like on your foot. However, you will notice them with every step you take.
The good news is you have plantar warts treatment options available to you. Your primary physician can help you with removing the warts. However, if you are concerned with costs, you can treat the plantar warts effectively on your own. You can purchase over the counter wart removal products or try a home remedy to remove them. Over the counter products will work but they are evasive on your skin and may attack the HPV virus effectively. However, there are home remedies that do get rid of the wart and help attack the virus.
There are a number of home remedies available for naturally removing them and some of them require the use of ingredients that you have in your home all ready. Also using a natural method to remove the warts will not harm your skin and may not cause scarring. Finally, most home remedies are more comfortable to apply than the over the counter methods.
While it's your decision to remove the plantar warts, using a natural method will help you get rid of the warts a little easier. Also, since they are so uncomfortable or can be downright painful, making the decision and effort to get rid of plantar warts should be a no brainer.

Skin Care for Sensitive Skin
by Ping Der
For those out there that with sensitive skin like me, sometimes buying skin care products might prove to be somewhat of a challenge. Unless there is a sample for you to try in store, you really do not know how a product will react with your skin. Even then, sometimes it takes more then a few uses before finding out.
The term sensitive skin is actually fairly broad and doesn't mean the same thing for everyone. For those like me, it means their skin is often dry and feels itchy. Usually during the winter, whenever I finish a shower, my skin would get a tightening and itchy feeling. For others it is more along the lines of having allergic skin. Under certain conditions, their skin would become red, develop rashes, or get a burning feeling.
The causes of sensitive skin vary too. One main reason is genetics and people are just born with sensitive skin. Another reason is that it may be caused by the environment or even a person's diet.
Usually using the wrong skin care products would cause the symptoms for people with sensitive skin to occur or become more serious. Such as using, the wrong types of soap may cause your skin to feel drier and itchier. Or the wrong face creams might cause your face to become red or even have an irritating feeling. Therefore, it is very important for people with sensitive skin to find the right type skin care products.
Here are some quick tips for those with sensitive skin.
Avoid products with harsh ingredients. The harsh chemicals used in some skin care products are a main reason for the reactions on sensitive skin. A chemical such as alcohol, which is commonly found in toners and foundations, is more damaging for those with sensitive skin. Therefore, try to buy skin care products with all natural or milder ingredients.
Buy scent free products or products with very light scents. The chemical in a product that gives it its scent is sometimes another cause of a reaction with sensitive skin. Products with heavy scents usually produces more serious effects.
Look for products labeled for sensitive-skin. Many producers of skin care products have products especially formulated for those with sensitive skin type. They are usually tested on sensitive skin types to make sure there are no harmful effectives. Generally, these product are scent-free and contains milder ingredients. This makes it much easier for those with sensitive skin to find the right product.
Protect your skin from the sun. The sun is often more damaging to those with sensitive skin care. For some people, they have sensitive skin due to damage from exposure to the sun. Be sure to wear sun block or sunscreen with adequate SPF protection if your skin is going to be exposed to the sun.
Drink enough water daily. It is important for those with dry sensitive skin to keep their skin as hydrated as possible.

Do You Know How To Have Beautiful Skin?
by John Russel
John Russell of IH Distribution, LLC brings you health, anti-aging and skin care products from around the world. Find fabulous skin care tips and great articles on a wide range of topics for women at http://www.hormones-beauty-health.com
The older you are, the more important it is to get started with a quality skin care regimen right away. Here is three things you can do to make your skin start looking beautiful today.
Use these 3 Simple Steps Everyday
1. Cleanse Daily - but gently. Too many professional skin care products strip your facial skin of the natural elements it needs to keep your skin soft and supple. Using a mild cleanser with a very light, delicate scent that won't leave your face feeling tight and dry after washing is a basic way to leave you glowing all day.
2. Exfoliate Your Face Daily - Many exfoliating products can be too harsh to use daily, but there are many excellent products that give you gentle exfoliating for your face that can be used daily. There are some great natural skin care products that are used at night before bed, which not only exfoliate the grime and pollution of the day from your delicate facial skin, they also moisturize, soften, and supplement your body's collagen and antioxidant production.
3. Moisturize Daily - Use a dry skin care anti aging lotion each morning after cleansing. Excellent high quality moisturizers not only replace vital moisture in your face that leaves it feeling very soft and smooth, but it will also supplement the antioxidants your skin needs to stay looking healthy and young. If you use an SPF of 25, it will also help protect your face from sun damage throughout the day. This moisturizer goes on with a wonderfully light feeling, and you'll actually start seeing results from it within minutes.
More facial skin care tips on how to have beautiful skin
Most cleansers, makeup, and other beauty products are full of harsh synthetic chemicals that may be harmful to skin. Natural solutions for healthy skin care are better for you, support a cleaner environment and natural techniques work at least as well.
Essential oils are some of nature's best helpers in almost every aspect of health. Many times more potent than dried herbs, essential oils contain all the healing properties of a plant in a very concentrated form. For this reason, they are best used in tiny amounts and are often diluted for skin care.
Sea salt is the world's most mineral-rich exfoliant. The minerals in sea water are known to nourish and heal skin. The same minerals can be found in unprocessed, mineral-rich sea salt, and the coarseness of salt makes it a perfect exfoliant. Try the following whole-body sea salt scrub.
- 1 Cup Sea Salt
- 2 Tablespoons Apricot or Almond Oil
- 5-6 Drops Peppermint Essential Oil
1. Put salt in a bowl and add the oils.
2. Mix well.
3. Store in covered container until ready to use.
This recipe is best used in the shower after washing. Rub a small handful of the salt scrub all over your body in brisk circular motions. Afterwards, use a moisturizing anti aging skin care product.
Fatty oils restore skin's moisture and flexibility. Part of the benefit of the salt scrub recipe is the apricot or almond oil it contains, which leaves a nice glow and moisture in the skin.
Using an oil cleansing method, surprisingly, is a simple and effective way to clean your face. Using olive oil, castor oil, and hot water leaves a lasting glow. Fatty vegetable oils can be used as moisturizers, makeup remover, cleansers if you want to stay all natural.
Do you know how to have beautiful skin?
In summary it's not enough to get a facial to keep your skin clear and beautiful. You need to have a great home skin-care routine.
1. Get a professional facial to deep cleanse your skin at least four times a year, as the seasons change. Every 4-6 weeks is ideal.
2. Throw away the soap and use quality skin care products that are right for your skin type.
3. Wear sunscreen, even on cloudy days and in the winter. Use a good quality, high-SPF sunscreen. Sun damage is the single most important cause of premature aging.
4. Cut out skin-damaging habits like smoking, excessive drinking, and tanning booths.

Have You Tried Any Natural Cures for Acne?
by M. Applebaum
One of the main reasons why people turn to natural cures for acne is that there is a less chance for any side effects. Before choosing one of these particular products, consult with your doctor. Many of the pharmaceutical products meant to cure acne contain harsh chemicals that can be harmful to your skin.
Acne is a skin condition that usually affects teenagers or adolescents. It is caused by an increased production of the hormone, testosterone and the natural body oils that occur in the body. Other factors can also cause an eruption of acne. Natural cures for acne generally are better suited to mild or medium cases.
The other factors that can influence an acne breakout include stress, genetics and even some lifestyle issues. Acne can have a serious effect on teenagers self esteem. This can be exacerbated by a negative reaction to a prescribed treatment. Choosing natural cures for acne will alleviate these adverse reactions to the harmful chemicals.
Some of these adverse reactions include red and irritated skin or a burning sensation. Teenagers are already quite self-conscious, so a skin condition can really cause them a great deal of added stress.
Problem cases of acne can lead to depression and an overall lack of confidence. It is important that acne be treated on a regular basis. There are many different natural cures for acne that can be used at home.
One of the more popular natural cures for acne methods is tea tree oil. It is extracted from a specific tree located in Australia. It contains a bacteria-fighting substance known as terpenes. The bacteria that causes acne is killed or weakened by the terpenes. The side effects are minimal with this method.
Another popular natural cure for acne is the aloe vera plant. The gel found in the leaves of this plant is very enzyme rich and is very soothing to inflamed skin. It also has anti-bacterial properties, which help clear up your skin.
We are sure that everyone's grandmother has a secret home remedy or his or her own natural cures for acne. One of the more unusual methods is to apply a mixture of real tomato pulp; honey and rose water to your face for twenty minutes, then wash it off.
In conclusion, there are many natural cures for acne. Finding the right one that works for you is a trial and error process. Once you find a good remedy then stick with it on a daily basis.
